Tony (Anton) Radman Sr.
Tony (Anton) Radman Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and "the best father-in-law" in the world passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, October 14, 2012.
Tony lived the American dream. Born in Rock Springs, WY on January 29, 1924, he was eldest son of Pasko and Elizabeth, emigrants from Eastern Europe. He grew up speaking only Slavic, learning English in elementary school and in turn teaching his family. He was forced to quit high school at the age of 15 in order to care for his mother, younger brother and two sisters after his father passed away. As the bread-winner of his family, he worked many jobs from mining in the coal mines of Rock Springs to working the Wyoming & California oil fields.
Tony married Linda Lucille Anesi of Lander on June 12, 1948. They immediately began a family and a business together. Theirs was a very successful partnership and love story. Tony was a well-known general contractor, having built many homes, schools, and commercial buildings in Wyoming.
His family recalls that his joys in life were his family, having fun, creating wonderful architecture, and dancing with Linda. He was one of the founding members of the Lander Golf Club; active in maintaining and encouraging the Sinks Canyon Ski Area; a volunteer fireman; a Lander City Councilman; a Charter Member of the Knights of Columbus, the Lion and Elks clubs. He and Linda spent hours working on either the landscaping at the Golf Course, or ensuring the ski area was ready for prime time every fall.
He is survived by Linda, his wife of 64 years, daughters, Cathy (Eric Hollins), and Mary (Mark Sanderson), daughter-in-law Renee Radman, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two sisters, Zora Derby and Angela Sherwood, a brother, Peter, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Tony, Jr.
Services will be held at a time and place that has yet to be determined.
Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
