Our beloved yiayia, mother, daughter, sister, and friend Antonia Menis, age 78, passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren, holding the hand of her beloved son Dino.

She was born on May 18, 1936 in Kiveri, Greece to Limberis and Yanoula Limberopoulos.

She married Pete Menis, April 13, 1967 at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration in Ogden, Utah.

She was a lifelong member of the Greek Orthodox Church.

She was raised in Kiveri, Greece immigrating to America in 1966.

Her greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and listening to Greek music and loved dancing especially the “Hasapiko.” It warmed her heart to feed all who came through her door.

She is survived by son Dino Pete Menis and wife Megan; two daughters Eugenia Pete Menis and husband Nidal Omar; Joanna Menis and Brent Urry, brother, Laki Limberis and sisters, Kiki and Eleni, her grandchildren, Hanna, Laela, Jacob and John Omar, Pete and Isabella Menis, Stella, Jack and Sophia Urry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete Menis and brother Pete Limberis.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Transfiguration, 674 42 nd St., South Ogden.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, Layton.

Yiayia was the best grandma in the world!!  Agapeemeneemas yiayia pola filaka ke agaleetses.  (Our dearly loved grandma, many kisses and hugs.)
