April Buxton, 49, passed away on October 20, 2022 in Pahoa, Hawaii in a tragic car accident. April was born August 12, 1973 in Ogden, Utah to Jerry Kim Buxton and Luella Jones Buxton, She attended Davis and Weber County schools. She called several places home, including Washington, Florida, and Hawaii.
April loved hiking, the water, mother nature, and surrounding herself with the forest. She loved having a village around her, to cook for, and share life stories of good and difficult times. She loved gardening and always yielded an impressive harvest. She loved animals, and always surrounded herself with fur babies. She loved passionately, and if she loved you, you knew it. April was a women of many talents which included being a wonderful cook, home decorator, a small business owner, and a musician who played and wrote music. She loved her children and grandchildren beyond human understanding.
April is survived by her daughters: Ashley (Kevin) Guptil of Seligman, Arizona, and Desiree Funke of Ogden, Utah, grandchildren, Roman and Kayson, mother, Luella (Paul) Sottosanti of Roy, Utah, sister, Sabrina (Rob) Tracy of Ogden, Utah, brother, Travis (Beckey) Buxton of Veazie, Maine, Josh (Mindy) Buxton of Layton, Utah, and Tiera Gardner of Layton, Utah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Spencer Massengale, whom she shared a special bond with, aunts and uncles, cousins, as well as many very close friends.
April was preceded in death by her husband Theron Palmer of Ogden, Utah, her father, Jerry Kim Buxton, grandparents Frank and Aileen Nakano, and nephew, Nicholas Massengale.
The family will meet with friends from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
