She was born May 21, 1972 in Dearborn, Michigan to Darrell Rowland Mason and Nancy Jean McCaig.

Her children are Tyler Hansen, Dylan Anthony Peterson, and Amy Wynnie Mason.

April was passionate about animals and had a massive heart. She always wanted to reach out to others.
