Archie William Gale

Archie William Gale, 78, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011.

He was born April 3, 1933 in Ogden, Utah to Ronald James and Beulah B. Wilde Gale. After high school he graduated from Weber State University.

On March 11, 1961, Archie married Daphne Hazel Durrant in Ipswich, England. She preceded him in death on January 6, 2006.

He loved his rose garden and all animals, especially his dogs. He was an avid book collector, great photographer and he had a wonderful sense of humor.

Archie is survived by two brothers, Russell (Charlene) Gale, Orem; Larry (Betty) Gale, Layton; two sisters, Eva Lynn London, West Haven; Mary Beth (Steve) Seper, Roy; a sister-in-law, Romy Gale, Ogden; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his devoted wife of 45 years, Daphne, and a beloved son, Robert "Robbie" William Gale.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 10th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

The family will meet with friends on Friday, September 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
