Arden LeRoy Denney, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his daughter''s home.
He was born March 5, 1921 in Byron, Wyoming to Edward LeRoy Denney. He was raised and educated in Downey, Idaho where he graduated from high school. He had also lived in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
Arden married Erma Gleed. She preceded him in death November 18, 1992.
He was a dedicated member of the Civil Air Patrol (C.A.P.) for many years. He was a private pilot instructor and loved flying. He was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed music, especially bluegrass and was a member of the "Old Time Fiddlers" of Ogden.
Arden is survived by three daughters, Judy LaRee Christensen, Ogden; Sherlayn Denney, San Diego, CA; Desirae Radlund, Syracuse; 18 grandchildren; three brothers, Ray Denney, Douglas Lynn Denney, Enos Sal Denney, Larry Denney, Thayle Denney; and one sister, Frances Myrtle Harker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma, and a daughter, Calleen Denney Nalder.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Malad Cemetery, Malad, Idaho.
