KAYSVILLE a€" Arlene Smith, 81, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Idaho Regional Medical Center with her loving family.

She was born March 11, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Arlen E. and Eva Bell Colvin.

Arlene married Grant Barnes Smith on July 9, 1947 in Ogden, Utah.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Arlene enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, and had a heart of gold.

Survived by siblings: Louis, Wayne (Arlene), Beverly (Roland), and Jerry, children: Wayne (Donna) Terry (Phyllis), and Scott, grandchildren: Tarralee, Kaye Lynn (Charles), Kimberly (Joshua), Douglas, Jeremy (Dolly), and Wendy, great-grandchildren: Murlin, Dalton, MacKenzie, MacKayela, Payton, Ian and Ashlee, special friends: Douglas and Laurie Justensen, Jay R. (Angie) Sanderson and Renie Miya.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Grant and son Douglas.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit the family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
