Arlo Elwood
OGDEN – Arlo Elwood, 72, passed away Monday, November 10, 2008 at his home.
He was born October 26, 1936 in Logan, Utah to Dallas L. and Laura Robbins Elwood.
Arlo married Nedra on June 8, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He was a faithful member of the LDS church and served a mission to the western states. He was a Branch President in Steamboat Springs, CO and in the branch presidency in Ft. Rucker, Al, and in Augsburg, Germany. He also served as an ordinance worker at Ogden LDS Temple.
Arlo served in the Army National Guard for 33 years and also was a teacher at Vernal High for one year and Ogden High for 34 years.
He enjoyed yard work, gardening, reading, loved flying and could fix anything.
Arlo is survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters, Douglas (Shauna), Delano, MN; Neil (Amber) Lehi; Suzanne (Steve) Cornaby, Yukon, OK; Sandy (Clint) Harris, Uintah; Denise (Chris) Tubbs, Provo.
Also surviving are his brothers: Dean and Lynn of Hyde Park.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley 3rd Ward, 5640 South 850 East South Ogden.
Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 South Washington Blvd., and Saturday 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.
Interment at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
