Arolene Viola Blakeley Riddle

Arolene "Arkie" Viola Blakeley Riddle, 84, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at her home in Ogden. She was born on March 30, 1928 to Walter Richie and Silvia Viola Mageline Beus Blakeley in Provo, Utah.

She married James Monroe Riddle. Together they had two sons. They were later divorced.

Arkie worked as a baker at Continental Baking Company "Hostess" where she retired in 1988. She was a trustee of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

She was very fond of her two kitties, Zoe and Tiger. She enjoyed bowling, golfing and quilting.

Arkie is survived by her sons, James Riddle and Richie (Karen) Riddle and her two grandchildren, Jessica Nickole and Nicholas Parker.

She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, parents, and brother Luke Blakeley.

Arkie has chosen to donate her body to the University of Utah for research.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road at a later date.
