Our beloved Arpidet (Pete) Lloyd Kassel passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. Although he faced the demons of addiction he personally recognized his problem and was on the road to recovery, with the motivation and support of our family he knew he could overcome this.
Pete was born March 19, 1989 on Hill AFB. He grew up in Clearfield Utah where he attended Clearfield High School and graduated in 2007. He later attended Eagle Gate College to pursue his dream of becoming a personal trainer.
Growing up he was an avid soccer player he played from the age of 3 throughout his teenager years on a competitive level traveling throughout the country. He loved the game.
He later started engaging in physical fitness in bodybuilding, which he devoted his time and energy to prepare for a competition. In 2013 he competed in his first NPC bodybuilding competition which he placed 5th. He loved the competition. He made us so proud.
In 2006 he met the love of his life his high school sweetheart Amanda. They were crazy about each other. They later married in 2015. They enjoyed the outdoors, movies, and just being together. In 2009 they welcomed their twin boys Collin and Cameron and later in 2014 they welcomed their daughter Aubree. Pete was a wonderful husband and father. He worked so hard to provide for his family. In his free time he enjoyed playing soccer with the twins, reading books with his baby girl or just sitting and watching a movie with his family. As long as they were all together it did not matter what they were doing.
His presence, his smile, his laugh will be extremely missed by everyone. We take comfort in knowing Pete is free from the struggles he faced and is at peace.
Pete is survived by his wife Amanda and their three children, Collin, Cameron, and Aubree; his parents Nina Kassel, step-father Mike Flores, grandparents Arthur and Kazuko Kassel, sisters Jade and Jazmine Kassel, Aunt Kathy Kassel and numerous nieces and nephews, Grace, Jonah, and Tommy
