Arthur Burrows Draper, 81, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

He was born August 12, 1926 in Provo, Utah to Arthur Ray and Alkie Murray Draper.

Arthur served in the United States Navy during World War II.

On June 27, 1947, Arthur married LaLana Hansen in Ogden, Utah. They moved to Hooper in 1954.

He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 33 years. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Arthur loved anything having to do with airplanes and he loved to fly. He made a yearly trek to Reno, Nevada for the Reno National Air Races.

Arthur is survived by his wife, LaLana; four sons, Larry V. (Grace) Draper, North Las Vegas, NV; Ray Leon(Debra) Draper, St. George; Dennis Draper, Hooper; Mike (Tami) Draper, Layton; one daughter, Diane Rasmussen, Clearfield; 21 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Sharon) Draper, Salt Lake City; Vernon (Cathy) Draper, Plain City; and two sisters, Maurine Olivas, Clearfield; and Marie (Tom) Snyder, Orlando, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Arthur Brent, a grandson, Brandon Ray and a sister, Alkie Campkin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2nd at 11 a.m. at the Muskrat Springs Ward Chapel, 5375 South 5900 West.

Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., at the church.

Interment, Hooper Cemetery.
