Arthur Chris Eccel

Arthur Chris Eccel, passed away Saturday April 25, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah.

Art was born in a rough and tumble Wyoming mining camp. His father, Christ, was killed in a mining rescue attempt when Art was six. When his mother died, he became sole provider for himself and his brother and sister, at age 16.

He retired as a supervisor at Hill Field''s tool making unit. In many ways, he regarded his marriage in 1939 to Josephine (Jo) Wilson to be the beginning of his life. He loved the wild high plains of Wyoming, the canyon lands of Utah, and their Idaho summer home. But above all, he loved his family.

He is survived by Arthur Chris Eccel, Jodi Bullock, Rebecca Anne Jones, Robert Allen Eccel and Deborah Sue Leighton.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends and family may call from 8:45-9:45 am prior to services. Interment Green River, Wyoming. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
