Arthur Keith Wehl

January 28,1925-April 29, 2017

After a long rewarding life, and a short period of infirmity, Art died at age 92. As he wished, his ashes will be interred at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles, California with his beloved wife, Betty. He spent 68 years with Betty, until her passing three years ago, but he insisted they continued to have long conversations every evening. Art and Betty moved to Utah in 2002 to be near their son, Dr. Chris Wehl, his wife, Dr. Nan Klein, and their granddaughter, Rachael Kishner Wehl. Rachael was an important support to Art, serving as a live-in caretaker for a time, and frequently visiting. Art welcomed Nan's son, Justin Klein-Clark and his wife, Marian Rivkind, into the Wehl family, and celebrated the addition of the "youngsters," Sebastian and Jude Klein-Clark. Art was also preceded in death by his sister Patricia Wehl and is also survived by his nephew, Ernst Krueger, wife Lynn; nephew Bill Krueger, wife Maureen; grandnephew Ernie, wife Jennifer and their children.

Art received spectacular medical care from Dr. Keith Lane over the years. He very much enjoyed residing at Parklane Senior Independent Living, and loved the staff and his friends there. He and his family also appreciated the compassionate care he received from Brighton Home Health and Hospice.

Art made friends everywhere, though conversation became difficult with his increasingly severe hearing loss. He was an avid birder, and filmed several generations of Red Tailed Hawk families. He was an early electric car owner and enthusiast, and moved his lime green 1979 CommutaCar to Utah. We are pleased that Art got to indulge most of his interests and desires until the end, and ultimately he went from "good" to "gone" in a few short days. Bon Voyage, Art! You will be missed.

We will celebrate his life at 11:00 AM on Friday June 16, 2017 at the Chase Mill at Tracy Aviary.
