Arvella Hansen Tanner
LAYTON a" Arvella Hansen Tanner, 83, passed away Monday, December 17, 2007.
She was born September 5, 1924 in Syracuse, Utah the daughter of Joseph Benjamin and Regina Thurgood Hansen. Arvella was reared in Syracuse and has resided in Layton for the last 30 years.
Arvella married Selby G. (Jim) Tanner on April 6, 1946.
She was a member of the LDS Church.
Arvella worked at Hill Air Force Base, retiring after 30 years of service.
She was an avid reader, sports fan and loved to quilt.
Surviving are her husband Selby G. (Jim) Tanner, Layton; two sons, John J. (Billie) Tanner, Idaho Falls, ID; Blaine L. (Becky) Tanner, Layton; two daughters, Joan (Mike) Tanner Francom, Kaysville; Marilyn (Mick) Tanner Stanger, Farmington; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and sister, Beth Barber, Syracuse.
Preceded in death by her two brothers, Lowell Hansen, Elvin Hansen, two sisters, Vaun Hales, LaVora Criddle, two nieces and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
The family wishes to express appreciation to Dr. Harry Senekjian, Morna and Edith at the Bonneville Dialysis Center.
