SOUTH WEBER/CLINTON a" On Monday, September 28, 2009 at Crestwood Care Center in Ogden, our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Ashby Haven "Hap" Imlay, reunited with his loving wife and many others who eagerly were waiting for him.
Hap was born January 19, 1911 in Panguitch, Utah, to John W. and Mary Ann Lister Imlay.
On August 6, 1932, he married Ina Proctor in Panguitch. Their vows were later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They moved to Ogden in 1942.
Hap worked for E. C. Olson Box Company and drove bus for the Davis County School District retiring in 1977. He was President of the Dunn Ditch Company and served on the South Weber City Council. He also operated his own dairy farm.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in various callings. He and his wife served in the Ogden Temple for eight years.
We will miss you Dad very much.
His children and their spouses are: Florene (Gary deceased) McCrary, Clinton; LaVera (Darrell) Byram, South Weber; Elvin Imlay- deceased; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, nine step-great-grandchildren, and eight step-great-great-grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, son, parents and siblings.
Darrell, LaVera and their family would like to express their gratitude to Florene for the care that she has given to Mom and Dad while living in her home.
The family expresses special thanks to Crestwood Care Center, Applegate Hospice, Alice, Kelly, Shonna, Peter, Deanna, Dr.Qader, Dr. Zega, Diane and Janice.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
