Ashley Carolann Boren peacefully returned home to her heavenly father on April 9, 2015 where her son, Hesten, was anxiously awaiting her arrival. She was the youngest daughter of Eric and Jodi Harkness (Downs) and was born on July 11, 1989. Ashley attended Northridge High School, where she graduated in 2007. After graduation, she met the love of her life and they had their first son, Ryken, in 2009. Shortly after the birth of her son, she married her soul mate, Adam Boren. Shortly after the wedding, they had their second child, Hesten. He returned to his father in heaven four short days later.
Ashley enjoyed spending time with "her boys" more than anything else in life. She also enjoyed spending time at the cabin, snowmobiling, and doing volunteer work wherever she could. She was a constant presence in her son's kindergarten class, and also helped other moms who had suffered the loss of an infant through a program called Utah Share. Ashley had a contagious smile and could always find the most comforting words to say during a stressful time. Ashley's enormous heart and her beautiful smile will be missed by everyone that knew her, especially her close friends and family.
Ashley is preceded in death by her son, Hesten Adam Boren, and grandfather, Vergil Glismann. She is survived by her husband, son Ryken, parents, her sister, Erica Poveda, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the South Weber Stake Center, 2250 E 7989 S. Friends may visit family from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ashley Boren Charitable Account at America First Credit Union.
