Aspen Harvey Hunt
a.k.a. “Rick Harvey Padley, Jr.”
8/28/75 – 1/27/10
Aspen Harvey Hunt, 34, our beloved dad, son, brother, uncle, lover, friend and Dirty Bird flew away from us on January 27, 2010. He was a unique man unlike any other. A highly accomplished musician, singer, and song writer, he formed his band, The Dirty Birds. He leaves so much of himself for so many. We will find and follow him in his flight through the music he left behind for us.
He found his greatest joy in his son, Sean, and his daughter, Aria. He dearly loved his family, his friends, his beautiful women, expensive food, Fish Lake, aspen trees, menthol smokes, beer, feathers, angels, symbols, and most parts of himself. He was a true White Trash Warrior. He was proud and confident in himself even through the darkest times. He fought the demons of drug addiction for many years and embraced his inner angel when he was clean. Aspen welcomed all of life at the deepest level and found love and peace in his own self-worth.
He is survived by his son, Sean Petersen, his daughter, Aria Sunday Hunt, his mom, Carole Hunt (Richard) Hanson, his dad, Richard (Se Ho) Padley, big sis Lisa (Shawn) Adamson, big bro Miguel Peterson (Rachel), adored twin bro Matthew Padley, little bro Nathan Padley (Heather), his love, Shandy Winward, special aunt Linda Hunt Anton, aunts Sue, Lori, Kristen, many nephews, cousins, family, and a cast of a thousand friends.
A celebration of Aspen’s life will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Bountiful Elks Lodge #2442 located at 544 W. 400 N. Bountiful, Utah from 1-4 p.m. Bring your stories, some munchies, your laughter, and be ready for the concert of a lifetime. Funeral directors Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
