Athleen Greenwell Skinner
Athleen Greenwell Skinner peacefully passed away on September 8, 2012 due to complications of Alzheimer''s. She was born on January 30, 1924 to Joseph and Nellie Richardson Greenwell. She had one younger brother, Lynn D. Greenwell, deceased.
She lived all of her life in the Ogden area, graduating from Weber High School. She felt fortunate to have many great jobs including, California Packing Company, Cream of Weber Dairy and Weber County Library.
Athleen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She belonged to the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, holding various positions. She was an avid card player. She loved to travel and took every opportunity to take new adventures.
When her memory started to decline, she moved in with her son, Clark Skinner and wife, Nadean. She enjoyed daily walks, interaction with her grandchildren and smelling the flowers.
She enjoyed watching and taking part in her grandchildren''s activities and achievements such as; church and work advancements, college graduations, dance recitals and sporting events. She was very proud of her four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and their accomplishments.
A special thanks to the staff at Wasatch Care Center and Hearts of Hospice for their outstanding love and care they gave Mom.
She was able to say her goodbye''s before she passed. Private graveside services were held on September 12, 2012.
