Audrey Neesha Andelin Beishline

July 21, 1934 — February 1, 2024

Audrey Neesha Andelin Beishline passed away after a brief illness on February 1, 2024, in Farmington, Utah. She was 89 years old.

Audrey was born July 21, 1934, to Gladys Genevieve Jensen and Bertran Youth Andelin in Ogden, Utah, the youngest of seven children. She attended Ogden High School, Weber State College, and graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She began her teaching career at Pingree Elementary School in Ogden, and shortly after, married Robert Raymond Beishline in the Los Angeles LDS Temple on June 23, 1959. Audrey and Bob moved to Pennsylvania and started a family while Bob completed his PhD. They lived for several years in New Jersey and New York before permanently returning to their roots in Ogden, where they raised four children. Audrey established herself with a long and distinguished career in the Ogden School District, where she became a well-respected and beloved Kindergarten teacher to hundreds of children at T.O. Smith, Taylor, and Polk Elementary Schools.

As a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Audrey dedicated many hours to service, holding multiple church callings during her lifetime including Relief Society President, Young Women President, Primary President, and Temple Worker. In 1999, Audrey and Bob were called to serve a mission to Munich, Germany. Audrey loved Germany and had great appreciation of German craftsmanship, amassing a beautiful collection of authentic steins, nutcrackers, and Polish pottery.

Extremely proud of her artistic family heritage, Audrey valued creativity and all areas of the arts. She excelled in the decorative art of tole painting. Her Christmas and holiday decorations were legendary. She played a mean ukulele, harmonizing with her sisters at family gatherings. A true patron of the arts, Audrey was a regular at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, attending with her family and friends every summer. She always held season tickets to the Ogden Symphony and loved ballet and contemporary dance performances.

Audrey loved spending time with her four children and nine grandchildren, especially during holidays and annual family trips to Zion National Park and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Audrey was very philanthropic, contributing regularly to the arts, religious organizations, and community services. Along with her sisters, Audrey founded the B.Y. Andelin Scholarship in Art at Weber State University in honor of her much-loved father.

Audrey is survived by her daughters, Erin (George) Strother and Megan (Gentry) Jensen; sons, Ben (Kristin) Beishline and Rob (Shelley) Beishline; grandchildren, Andelin, Connor, Ryan, Paige, Claire, Lincoln, Jackson, Miles, and Zoey; one great-grandchild, Jaylee; and her sister, Annette Webster.
