Audrey Jones Carter

Audrey Jones Carter, age 87, loving wife, mother, wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

She was born July 3, 1930 in Springville, Utah to George Noble and Lula Oakey Jones.

She married Delmar Loraine Carter on November 3, 1950.  Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 21, 1972.

Audrey was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings through the years and retired as a school lunch manager.

She was a member of the Utah Daughter’s of the Pioneers.  She loved getting together once a week with her fellow sisters reading to each other.

Family was always first in her life and she would do anything for them.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Greg) Robinson, Layton; Cindy (Duane) Kraft, Salt Lake City; Bruce (Kenna) Carter, Layton; 26 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are one brother Jack Jones, Orem.

She was preceded in death by her husband Delmar Loraine, son Robert Leland, grandson, Kyle Carter,  brothers Ted and Rex, sister, Thelma and parents George and Lula.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers from A Step Forward and Inspire Hospice, Rhonda, Deborah, Debbie, Jeff, Wayne and Leslie.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Central Ward, 60 West Gordon.  Friends may visit family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
