Audrey M. Howlett
April 16, 1933 – August 30, 2016
Audrey M. Howlett, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 peacefully with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. She was born on Easter Sunday, April 16, 1933 in Woodstock, NH; the daughter of Allison and Inza Smith Merrill.
She married Robert L. Brown March 26, 1955. They later divorced. She married Charles W. Howlett on July 8, 1961, he passed away in 2008.
She lived most of her life in New Hampshire. After retiring from Kallwall Corp. in 1995, she moved to Clearfield, UT. She then retired from the Davis County School District as a cook.
She enjoyed listening to classic country music, watching Utah Jazz games and watching NASCAR races especially the races in New Hampshire. She also loved to go with her daughter and son-in-law to their cabin.
Audrey is survived by her children, Sharon (Claude) Rivera, Clinton, UT; Murray (Liz) Howlett, Concord, NH; sister, Donna DeCota, Deerfield, NH; many nieces and nephews and her long time best friend Pam Kelson, Pittsfield, NH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers.
The family would like to thank all of the caregivers, especially Natalie at Chancellor Gardens Clearfield and Dr. Gary Holland and the staff at Comfortworx especially Bree Hospice for the care they gave to Mom.
A niche service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
