Audrey Evans Scullin Jacobson

April 26, 1936 ~ May 15, 2014

On May 15, 2014, I joyously returned to our Father in Heaven.  I have long waited for the day when I could gaze into the blue eyes of my youngest son, Trent Thomas Scullin.  He passed away just before his 35 th birthday and took part of my heart with him.  I am once again whole.

I was born on April 26, 1936 in Winnemucca, NV to Thomas David and Mildred Norman Evans; in a log cabin so my mother told me often.  At the age of 9 years we moved from Elko, NV to Ogden.  Graduated from Weber High School in 1954 and attended Weber State College.

Went to Washington D.C. and met and married Richard D. Scullin. We had three children, Ryan, Trent, and Amber.  We have lived in Japan, Okinawa, Taiwan, Florida, Massachusetts, and Ogden in between.  We later divorced.  I married Edward “Ted” Toone in March of 1973.  We later divorced.  Finally married the love of my life, Stanton Sheldon Jacobson in February of 1983, he was a great husband.

I worked for the F.B.I., Mountain States Telephone, Marquardt Corp., Clearfield Job Corps, Ogden-Weber ATV, and Rockwell International.

Loved to sew, crochet, and putter with arts and crafts.  Loved my flower gardening, but detested weeding the vegetables.

Above all, I was born to be a wife, mother, and grandmother.

I am survived by my husband, Stan; terrific son, Ryan (Christine) Scullin, Ogden; my loving daughter, Amber Ann (Steve) Anderson, Porterville; daughter-in-law, Pamela Scullin, Price; stepsons, Stan Jr., Ogden, and Quinn (Jean) Jacobson, Denver, CO; brothers, Ted (Lorraine) Evans, Orcas Island, WA and Jerry Evans, Ogden; and sisters, Bonnie and Lou Waikart, Ogden; and Sandra (Terry) Robinson, West Haven.  My grandchildren are Ryan’s daughter, Alisha Lynn, Alisha and Casey Green and her kids, Bostyn, Banon, and Brekken; Amber’s boys, Cameron, Tyler, Lon, Aaron, and Chase, and daughter, Ariel; Trent’s son and stepsons, Jacob Tyler Scullin, Dustin and Russell (Bromley) Scullin; step-granddaughter, Summer Joy Jacobson; and also a dear friend Linda Maxwell and family and many nieces and nephews.

My loved ones who left before me are my beloved son, Trent Thomas Scullin; granddaughter, Ryan’s gal, Stefanie; father and mother, brother, David; sister, Linda Martin; niece, Ted’s gal, Robin; and niece, Sandra’s gal, Heather.

To my family: Laugh as we always laughed at little jokes we enjoyed together.  Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me.  I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.  Whatever we were to each other; that we are still.  All is well.

My special request is for everyone to meet at the house for root beer floats.  “Fix me a big one.”

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
