Audrey J. Walsh
OGDEN – Audrey Joan Moloughney Walsh, 86, died Thursday, September 13, 2007, at her home in Ogden.
She was born June 22, 1921, in Jersey City, New Jersey, the last of five children born to Harry and Loretta Boland Moloughney.
Audrey married Joseph Walsh, the love of her life, on April 28, 1943, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Joe was an Air Force pilot, so Audrey traveled the world with him and made many lifelong friends. She lived with Joe and their two daughters in Florida, New York, Illinois, Newfoundland, and Japan before coming to Hill AFB where he retired as a Lt. Col. in 1965. Joe preceded her in death in July of this year.
Audrey, a lifetime Catholic, had a private parochial school education and graduated from the Academy of St. Aloysius. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading and daily emails with her friends and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan Howland, Charlotte, NC; Diane Fry, San Francisco, CA; and one granddaughter, Danielle Reick, San Francisco, CA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, September 18 at 1 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South. A luncheon will follow the services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund or the charity of your choice.
