Aureliano “Larry" DeHerrera

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry DeHerrera announces his passing. Larry was born May 4, 1939 to Virgilio and Manuelita DeHerrera. He was preceded in death by his dad, mom, brother, and sister.
He is survived by his life-partner, Claudia Gutierrez of 32 years and his beloved fur baby, Sophia. He married his first wife Beatriz “Beatrice” Ortega and together had five children, his children, Angie (Tony) Martinez, Katy (Dennis) Johnson, Janet (Roberto) Leon, Virgil (Lucy) DeHerrera, and Libby Jurado (Ken Cureton). His second wife, Ernestine DeHerrera and together had two children, James (Melinda) DeHerrera and Daniel DeHerrera, and daughter, Maxine DeHerrera. Dad is a proud grandpa of 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Dad enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved golf, fishing, family and friends ( and he has many) and the Denver Broncos.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 219 Pine Street, Rawlins, Wyoming. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. with Rosary from 1:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Rawlins Cemetery, Wyoming. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
The family wants to thank Bristol Hospice, especially Barbara, for the love and care they gave him these last six months. The family also thanks Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary for the service and assistance they provided.
