Bailee Dianne Barnard
June 20, 1996 ~ July 1, 2017
Our amazing Bailee Dianne Barnard passed away unexpectedly on July 1st, 2017. Words cannot express the sadness that we feel in our hearts at this time, but the knowledge that she is now reunited with her sweet mother and baby brother brings us some happiness and hope.
Bailee grew up in Syracuse, Utah to parents Bruce and Christy Barnard. She was a 2014 graduate of Syracuse High School and was currently attending the University of Utah working on her nursing degree. She was currently employed by the University of Utah Hospital in the Department of Internal Medicine. Bailee was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She had an incredible ability to fill any room with an abundance of light and love…always so pretty, happy, and funny! Anyone who came into contact with her felt her compassion and kindness. She was always trying to help others and lift their spirits, often navigating to the person in the room who she could feel needed the most help. Bailee just loved being a nurse! Her compassion and kindness towards her patients was heartwarming…the families of her patients just adored her!!
Bailee was blessed with both beauty and talent, and from the earliest age, she danced!…and oh my heck how she could dance!! Most of the time bringing a tear to her parent’s eyes as they watched their baby girl perform. Nothing made Bailee happier than to be with her teammates and competing. She was also a very talented teacher, choreographer, and recently started judging dance competitions. Her biggest thrill was to be a member of the 2014-2015 Utah Jazz Dancers. She was very camera friendly and was often shown on the jumbotron!! She was twice awarded All-State Dancer in high school. Bailee was trained in dance early at Touch of Class, and then at Infinity Dance where her amazing teachers helped her reach her potential.
She loved her brother, Zachary, and she was so thrilled and happy at the relationship that they were developing. She was so proud of the man that he was becoming and proud that he recently graduated high school. She was looking forward to watching him progress and succeed in life.
Bailee is survived by her father Bruce, and her brother Zachary, both of Layton; Grandparents Terry and Linda Barnard of Pleasant View; Grandma Karen Cole of Idaho Falls; Aunts Lisa (Don) Byrd from Nashville; Lisa (Dave) Fassnacht of Irvine, CA; Uncles Brad (Becky) Cole of Idaho Falls; Mark (Patti) Cole of Idaho Falls; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is also survived by step-mom Suzy White and step-brother Boone White of Fruit Heights.
Bailee is preceded in death by her mom Christy, and her baby brother Grady, as well as her Grandpa Boyd Cole.
