Barbara J. Wright Black

Barbara J. Black, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, November 28, 2014.

She was born to LeGrande Wright and Mary V. Porter. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School.

On February 7, 1948, Barbara married Lyle B. Black.

She worked as a cook for the Weber School District for 29 years.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Lyle, her children, Lee A. (Sandie) Black, Nancy Black; grandson Jeremy (Courtney) Black, granddaughter Cathie Cholaj, and nephew Mike Varner. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Clara Varner, a brother, Gerald Wright, and a granddaughter, Aubrey Amburn.

The family wishes to thank IHC Hospice for their kind and special treatment.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
