1938 ~ 2022

 

Barbara F. Burraston passed away Saturday July 9, 2022 with her family by her side. Barbara, aka Barbie Doll, was born in Payson, Utah to Faye and Marvin Burraston. She graduated from Davis High School where she was Vice President and received a scholarship to USU.         

 

Barbara had three children, Dirk Barnes, Marcy Barnes Hooper and Shannon Barnes. Mom had five grandkids Zach Hooper, Hayley Wood, Cameron Hooper, Amanda Russell and Monica Barnes. She had 11 great-grandkids.   

 

Mom went to WSU. Then worked at McKay-Dee Hospital where she later retired. She volunteered there for many years after. Mom loved traveling, went to almost all 50 states. Vermont being one of her favorites. Mom loved going to concerts and was a grand collector of music. You could often hear Allan Jackson music coming from the back patio. Mom would say "he's so good looking ".  Mother's Days at the zoo, walking the river parkway are great memories. Mom we will always carry your memory of love, humor and strength in our hearts.

 

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Marvin Burraston and her sister, Arlene White. Mom is survived by her 3 children, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. 

 

Our family with much appreciation would like to thank Barrington Place and Bristol Hospice for their loving and excellent care of Mom.

 

A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
