Barbara Leffler Cox
CLEARFIELD a" Barbara Leffler Cox,75, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007 at her home of cancer. She was born December 8, 1931 in College Ward, Utah to Joseph Wesley and Martha Barbara Stender Nelson.
Barbara married Clarence David Leffler, September 7, 1951. He passed away February 26, 1988. She married Robert Burns Cox on January 26, 1996.
Barbara was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in Relief Society, Primary, and Sunday School. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 45 years and volunteered over 500 hours at the Davis Medical Center.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters Vickie (Frank) Mower and Sandy Russell, both of Murray; sons Dave (Susan) Leffler, Layton; and Mike (Denise) Leffler, Boise, ID; 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister Vera Later, Highland, UT; and brother Edwin Nelson, Logan, UT, and many nieces and nephews. She was well loved and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence; brothers Harvard and Reed , and sisters Myrle and Ethel.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 7th Ward Chapel, 231 E. 300 N. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 S. State Street, and Wednesday from 9:30 to10:30 at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Horizon Hospice, 1133 N. Main Street, Layton, UT 84041.
Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
