OGDEN a€" Barbara Jean Evans, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2008 surrounded by her loving family from complications of cancer.

She was born December 19, 1938 to Edna and Clarence Mobley. She grew up to be a strong, beautiful and independent woman.

On November 9, 1957, Barbara married John O. Evans in Ogden. They had four wonderful children, Mitch, Malinda, John and Cheryl. Her husband John preceded her in death.

She worked as a nurse''s aide for over 40 years, providing wonderful loving care to her patients.

Barbara loved playing with her grandchildren and the simple pleasures with her family. She loved to bake during the Christmas holidays. She also loved to gamble.

Surviving are her mother, Edna Mobley, son, John T. Evans; grandchildren, April Evans (Orlando Levi), Robert Beck, Abby (Steven) Maxim, Alisha Evans, Adam (Anastasia) Evans, Brandy Davies, Courtney (Ashley) Evans; nine great-grandchildren with two more on the way, son-in-law, Carl Davies, and daughter-in-law, Raelynn Evans.

She was preceded in death by her son, Mitchell Evans, daughters, Malinda Evans Baldwin and Cheryl Evans Davies, grandson, Sheldon Davies, her father, Clarence Mobley, brother, Jay Mobley and sister, Michelle Mobley.

Barbara will be deeply missed. She gave her family wonderful memories that will be cherished forever. We will miss her greatly.

Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Friends may call at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
