Barbara Ann (Stuart) Faulk
1935 - 2010
Layton - Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Barbara Ann (Stuart) Faulk, died peacefully March 7, 2010. Barbara was born December 2, 1935 to George and Leda Stuart of Syracuse, Utah. She was raised in Syracuse, and later settled in Layton, Utah. While living in Layton, Barbara met and married her eternal sweetheart Gary L Faulk, November 28, 1975 . Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on June 23, 1977.
Barbara''s greatest love was her family, and she always enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays with her children and grandchildren. Barbara was an aspiring author and poet. Other interests included genealogy, temple work, making baby quilts for her grandchildren, and cooking delicious meals for her family.
She had a big heart, and would always go the extra mile to make others feel welcome and comfortable. Barbara had a tender spot for children, and it gave her great joy to be in their presence. She always felt that her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her special jewels. She was proud of the accomplishments her children, and felt they were exceptional in every way.
She worked for Safeway, Pembroke''s, Seal Office Supply, and retired from Hill Air Force Base. She attended Weber State University.
She was a member of the Layton Summerwood Ward. Through her life she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Primary, and held various positions in the Primary and Relief Society Presidency for the LDS church.
Surviving are her husband Gary and seven children; son Steven Schroader (Jill), daughter DeeDee Buelo (Craig), son Dan Schroader (Laurie), daughter Lori Nye, daughter Star Nicholls (Tim), son Markus McLain (Wendy), and daughter Melinda Peacock (Bryan).
She deeply loved her 20 grand children: Heather, Shane, Jenna, Nicole, Megan, Curtis, Haylee, Colten, Kearstyn, Amber Lee, Kari Ann, Trudy, Cathy, Marquee, Kylee, Quade, Kyle, Joshua, Brayden, and Jason.
She leaves 15 delightful great-grand children; Evan, Carter, Raylee, Mason, Chloe, Logan, Austin, Braxton, Hunter, Cooper, Kayla, Clinton Jr., Matthew, and Star.
She is preceded in death by her beloved grandson Daniel Scott Schroader, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road. A viewing for friends and family will be held 12:00 p.m. a" 1:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the same location.
