Barbara Finch

March 24, 1941 — August 11, 2018

LAYTON – Barbara Jean Finch, 77, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Rocky Mtn Care Center Clearfield.

She was born March 24, 1941 in Bingham, Utah the daughter of Ray and Mary Dewey Palmer.

Barbara married Arlin Richard Finch Jr., who proclaimed on their very first date he was going to marry her on May 18, 1973.

Barbara had lived in California, Minnesota and Idaho until she decided to settle down in one place when she met Arlin.

She was a member of the LDS Church.

Barbara liked crocheting, knitting, doing cross stitch, genealogy, laughing, being awesome and hugs.

Her greatest accomplishment was surviving her children’s teenage years.  She had a wicked sense of humor and incredibly quick wit.

Surviving are her daughter Temaka (Dennis Wiegmann), son Mark Finch, three grandchildren, Mason, Isaac and Emilia.

Preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Fort Lane Ward, 1402 No. Fort Lane, Layton.  Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.

Thank you to everyone who has loved her and been her friend.  A special thanks to the Fort Lane Ward for everything they have done for her.  She absolutely loved all of you.
