Barbara R. Anderson

Barbara R. Anderson, 89,  passed away at Sunridge of Layton Assisted Living in Layton, Utah. She was born on March 3, 1935, in Layton, Utah, to William R. And Enid Y. Murdock Roberts.
 
Barbara's professional journey saw her serving as a secretary at Hill Air Force Base, While Barbara found fulfillment in her career, it was her role as a devoted wife and mother that truly defined her. She married the love of her life, Newell Tolman Anderson, on November 6, 1953, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
 
A woman of many talents and interests, Barbara's hobbies ranged from supporting her children in their athletic pursuits to indulging her creative side through crocheting, quilting, and crafting delectable 

caramels and fudge. She was a connoisseur of ALL things chocolate.
 
Barbara's proudest accomplishments included her unwavering faith as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served selflessly within the Primary and Relief Society and embarked on a meaningful mission for the church in the Colorado Denver South Mission.
 
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Craig R. Anderson (Laurel), James N. Anderson (Kathleen), David L. Anderson (Angela), Gordon L. Anderson (Marvalee), Kathy Beddes (Bryan), over 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. 

 Barbara was preceded in death by her parents William and Enid Roberts, as well as her beloved husband Newell Tolman Anderson and siblings; Lynn, Grant, Marietta, Paul, Ruth, Cal, and Sherman.

Funeral services for Barbara will be held Friday April 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the West Layton Ward Chapel, Layton, Utah. Friends and family may visit family Thursday April 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
 
Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

Luncheon to follow interment at 2:00 p.m.
