Barbara Pinkerton Riley 1922-2009

CENTERVILLE a€" Barbara Pinkerton Riley passed away February 23, 2009 from symptoms related to age.

She was born to Dr. Charles Fredrick Pinkerton and Lylith Zenger Pinkerton in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 18, 1922. She attended Elementary, Jr. High, High School and the University all in Salt Lake City. She married her sweetheart, Paul Davis Riley on July 15, 1939. For sixty years they made their home in Bountiful, Utah. In 1995 she moved to Centerville, Utah where she spent the last 14 years of her life.

She liked the Condo life and the advantages it provide. Since her husbands death in 1988 she was self-sufficient. She provide over 3,000 volunteer hours at Lakeview Hospital, was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Sharlee (Kent) Steed, Judy (Willie) Hammond, Kathy Drage, Patrick (Shelley) Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son Stephen Dee, her son-in-law, Brent Drage, and her granddaughter Stephanie Steed.

Our family would like to give a special thanks to Cindee for her love and tender care to our Mom. Another thanks to Hospice for all their help and support.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call form 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
