OGDEN, UTAH a€" Barbara Carr Stephens, 64, passed away unexpectantly on June 23, 2013. Barbara was born in Ogden, Utah on September 7, 1949 to Alan and Helen Carr.

She married Kenneth Brent Stephens on April 15, 1967. Brent was drafted into the US Army in August and after his basic training they lived a year and a half at Fort Campbell, KY.

Barbara earned her high school diploma in 1973; then she went on and earned an Associate degree in 1984. In 1987 she earned a Bachelor degree with a teaching certificate and started teaching. Then plowed in again and earned a Masters Degree in 1996 in elementary education and continued teaching for 17 more years until she retired in 2005.

She was a member of the Christian Worship Center in Roy, UT.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Brent; 4 children, Sean Kenneth and Amanda of Reedley, CA; Geoffrey Alan and Aileen of Ogden, UT; Jennifer Helen Hagan and Terence of West Jordan, UT; and Jason Ryan of Roosevelt, UT; and 7 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday June28, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
