Bart Ralph Gibson, 56, passed away on May 6, 2013 in Salyer, California.
He was born on December 31, 1956 in Ogden, Utah to Dean Jedd and LouJean Morley Gibson.
Bart graduated in 1975 from Bonneville High School. He attended Weber State University prior to joining the US Navy.
He loved people and was a licensed massage therapist. He worked as a furniture mover and as a volunteer firefighter in California.
Bart loved to play his fiddle, read, write, rollerblade the Santa Cruz boardwalk, and fish.
He was multi-talented-making unique homemade gifts, such as "Bartman" hacky sacs.
Everyone that knew Bart loved him. He had a kind heart and a free spirit. He loved the great outdoors.
Bart is survived by a brother, Jim (Chloe) Gibson; and two sisters, Deana (Robbie) West and Lynette (Scott) Bowden. He also had many nieces and nephews who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dan Gibson.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Utah arrangements entrusted to Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Trinity County Sheriff''s Department, Salyer Volunteer Fire Department, and the townspeople of Salyer, California for taking such good care of Bart.
