Baxter Franklin King, 19 passed away October 23, 2019.
He was born, November 16, 1999 the son of Roger Franklin King Jr. and Sara Kay Hawkins King in Ogden, Utah.
Baxter was a valedictorian and graduated from Clearfield High School in 2018 where he played football and enjoyed time with his friends. He was attending Utah State University where he was studying Psychology.
He liked collecting football cards, hanging out with friends and family and reading. Baxter was a quiet giant that touched the lives of the people he met. He was a genuine individual that was kind and caring. He was a bright young man with quick wit and a sharp sense of humor. He was amazing with children and enjoyed helping coach his brother’s football team. Those that got to know him well were blessed.
He is survived by his mother Sara Kay Hawkins King, father Roger Franklin King Jr., brother Trevor Bradley King and wife Leanna Jeanne LaReaux King, sister Bianca Gwendelynn King, brother Walter Lee King, sister Mollie Anne King, maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Roger Franklin King and his great grandparents on both sides of the family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield South Stake Center, 2186 S. 125 W., Clearfield. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
