Becky Marie Lynn Pittenger Sherrod

Our loving mother, daughter, wife and friend, Becky Marie Lynn Pittenger Sherrod, 50, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her home.

She was born October 27, 1962 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to William E. and Doris A. Perry Lynn.

She married John D. Pittenger and they later divorced. On February 14, 2008, Becky married Harold Dean Sherrod in Clinton, Utah.

She was employed at the University of Utah Health System Information Technology Services as a Computer Systems Analyst.

Becky was a member of the Roy Christian Baptist Church.

She loved her horses, dogs, and enjoyed traveling and outdoor activities. She cherished the times she spent with her family and friends.

Becky is survived by her husband Harold of Clinton; two sons, John Dale Pittenger, Jr. and Richard William Pittenger both of Williamsport, PA; step-daughters, Tiffany Sherrod, Tonya Sherrod, Jamie Sherrod; her father, William (Karen) Lynn, Meadville, PA; and one brother, James William (Amy) Lynn, Meadville, PA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris, grandparents, John and Coral Perry, CJ and Madge Lynn and two uncles, Karl Perry and Richard Lynn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday August 17th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

The family will meet with friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment will be in Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the loving and caring doctors and nurses at Davis Hospital or CNS Hospice, in memory of Becky Sherrod.
