Ben H. Bodily
LAYTON - Ben H. Bodily, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 with his life-long love, Betty by his side.
He was born July 3, 1932 in Clearfield, Utah the son of Homer and Nettie Mildred Wall Bodily.
Ben married Betty Joyce Tatem on November 26, 1955 in Ogden, Utah.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Ben coached Little League baseball and football in Layton. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, sports and golfing.
Surviving are his wife Betty J. Bodily, children: Brad H. (Angie) Bodily, Layton; Kenneth J. Bodily, Clearfield; Annette (David) Patterson, Austell, GA; Deborah (Brent) Adams, Syracuse; sister, LaVea (Duane) Evans, brother, Vaughn (Renon) Bodily, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother Lynn Bodily and sister Jean Marquardt.
All who had the blessing of knowing him, knew his smile and laugh, his generosity and genuine concern for all. Ben will always be remembered by family and friends as “Grandpa Ben.”
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Tuesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
