Ben Graham

Ben Richard Graham switched tracks on Saturday, April 10, 2021, as he began his journey with the ultimate conductor, his Lord and Savior.

Ben was born July 24, 1941 in Abilene, Texas. His family later settled in Clearfield, Utah.

This tall, gentle giant was the most humble, kind and tenderhearted man you could find. Ben was always optimistic and happy even on his darkest days and considered even all his trials just a new adventure and diversion in life.

Ben served six years in the Army National Guard and spent most of his life working at the family business, Clearfield Nursery and Power Equipment.

Ben was an avid model train enthusiast and owned and operated “Almosta Junction” for many years until illness caused him to slow his business down.

Ben was model son, brother, uncle and friend. He had a soft spot for his cats and all animals.

Ben was a walking miracle after being told that nothing further could be done medically for his cancer, but as a last resort was referred to the Huntsman Cancer Institute for a possible clinical trial. Thus began a relationship with incredible medical staff and we watched a true miracle unfold. Ben was given a precious gift of an extra nine years. He lived life to the fullest with this gift time and we were able to enjoy great times and build precious extra memories.

His siblings feel incredibly blessed to have had the example of a model human being, friend and brother. We love you Bubenun and know that because of your trust in Jesus as your Savior you are on the right track for the ultimate destination.

Ben is survived by three brothers, James Graham (Lyndia), Sidney Graham (Terry), Eddie Graham (Debbie); one sister, Becky Davis; numerous nieces and nephews and his two cats. Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Ben L. and Fern Graham, a niece, Jennifer Ridderhoff and a nephew, Nathan Graham.

The family would like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Institute and all of their incredible staff, especially Dr. Grossman, who Ben loved dearly and considered an honorary brother.

Due to COVID, a small private family service will be held to celebrate Ben’s life.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary.
