Benita Valdez

CLEARFIELD – Benita T. Valdez, 93, passed away January 10, 2019.

She was born October 29, 1925 in Ensenada, New Mexico the daughter of Sergio and Feliz Fernandez Trujillo.

Benita married Tony Valdez in New Mexico.

She was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Benita enjoyed dancing, painting, gardening, crocheting and traveling.

Surviving are her son, Floyd (Dorothy) Valdez, daughter LaLee Swallow, daughter-in-law, Judy Valdez, three brothers and eight sisters.

Preceded in death by her husband, daughter Rita Bronson, son, Paul Valdez and three brothers.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 210 Chapel Street, Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit family Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  A Vigil with Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Interment Kaysville City Cemetery.
