LAYTON – Benjamin Joseph Lund returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 10, 2008 of heart failure. He passed away while working at the job he loved, the film industry.
He was born on November 8, 1984 the son of Bert James and Julie Christensen Lund. Ben was a priest in the Kays Creek Ward. He graduated from Layton High in 2003 and from LDS Seminary. He attended Weber State University.
As a child, Ben loved to play and that never changed. He was always busy making traps, and playing in “mud village.” He loved all sports, tools, switches and plugs. At the age of 12, he decided his room was too small and knocked down a wall to double the rooms size. His play grew to snowmobiling, nice cars, golfing, paint ball, computers, Ipods, movies, wakeboarding at Lake Powell and snorkeling in Hawaii.
Ben was a natural leader, with a gift for always being happy. He was a quick learner and could fix anything. He was a true light to our family with his constant entertainment, never-ending sense of humor and playful spirit.
Ben was certified in heating and air conditioning and had worked for “Bills Comfort Systems” in Layton. He presently worked for “Motion Picture Services” and was able to work side by side with his best friend (his dad) and his favorite brother, Chris.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Robert J. Christensen and grandmother Sharlene T. Lund and cousin Sayler Christensen.
Ben is survived by his parents; his brother Christopher Bert (Mayleen) Lund and his sisters Alison Lund (Craig) Behunin and Madison Lund. Nephews and nieces; Lauren and Drake Lund. Riley, McCall and Baby Behunin; his grandfather Bryan W. Lund and grandmother Roselyn T. Christensen and many, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Ben, we thank Heavenly Father for our time with you, for the blessing you are, for the joy of your laughter, the comfort of your company, the warmth of your smile. We’ll miss you Dot.
