Berdean H. Crabtree
RIVERDALE - Berdean Hyde Crabree of Riverdale, born February 3, 1923, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2010 of causes incident to age while residing at Peachtree Assisted Living. She leaves behind a legacy of a loving posterity and many good works.
She was born in Fairview, Idaho to Reuben and Amy Hyde into a family of six girls. After moving to Logan, Utah, she met and married her eternal companion, Dahl Conrad Crabtree on June 24, 1941 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had over 52 happy years together before he died in 1994. They were blessed with six children, Vee (Richard-deceased) Gibson, Merle (Blake) Knight, Miles (Sherry), Kevin (died shortly after birth), Colin (Terri), and Wren (Roland) Woodland, 26 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Maxine (Hadley) Roberts and Jean (Ronald) Martin.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep love and testimony of Jesus Christ that she showed through the way she lived. She served in many responsible capacities. She and Dahl completed a service mission at the Ogden Deseret Industries. She was a faithful temple worker at the Ogden Temple for many years.
She was an integral part and worked in the family business, Crabtree Auto, and was a great support to her husband Dahl in his many endeavors. She was always a source of support and confidence for the many and varied activities of her family. She would sacrifice herself to help make their dreams come true. She will be remembered for the many family gatherings such as Christmas Eve Parties, the yearly grandchildren birthday party, family reunions and her collection of musical holiday decorations.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Grace Munk, Wanda Peterson and JaNell Halloway.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 16 at 11 a.m. at the Riverdale 1st Ward Chapel, 1056 West 4400 South.
Family will meet with friends at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South on Wednesday, September 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday at the Ward Chapel 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.
