OGDEN a€" Bernice H. Hunter, 90, died Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born August 3, 1920 in Wardboro, Idaho, the 10th child of 12 twelve children born to Samuel G. and Christina Sorenson Humpherys. As a child, she lived at Stewart Camp near the Bear River where her father was Water Master for Utah Power and Light Company. She attended school in Dingle and Montpelier, Idaho.

Bernice married Don Davis. They had two children, Michael and Karen, and later divorced. She married Gabriel Harris on July 16, 1956 in Ogden. G.P. preceded her in death November 11, 1977. Bernice married Roscoe Hunter on January 8, 1993 in Ogden. He died September 11, 2004.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed teaching the children of the church.

Bernice was employed at Mountain Bell as a telephone operator in Montpelier, Idaho for many years.

Bernice and her husband Roscoe ran the 12th Street Roller Rink for many years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She gave 25 years of volunteer service with R.S.V.P. (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program). Bernice was a talented musician playing the piano and harmonica. She was active with the Golden Hour Harmonica Group which entertained around the Ogden area. She loved to crochet and share her talents with many others. More than anything, Bernice actively spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren remembering every birthday and holiday with cards, cookies and phone calls.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Karen (Rodger) Lerohl, Flossmoor, IL; her stepson, Brad (Jackie) Hunter, Ogden; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also surviving is her sister, Mary Bosch, Pocatello, ID.

Preceding Bernice in death were her husbands, Gabriel Harris and Roscoe Hunter, her son, Michael Harris, great-grandson, Cody Barton, her parents, and 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Lorin Farr 2nd Ward Chapel, 480 a€" 7th Street, with Bishop Leslie Maddock officiating.

Family will meet with friends at the Ward on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.

Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery.
