Bernice Stock Shaw passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Wasatch Care Center.

She was born on Sunday, April 13, 1924 in Oakley, Idaho to Edwin E. and Florence B. Stock. The family was thrilled to have a daughter after four sons. She was raised in Oakley during the winters and at the Bostetter Forest Ranger Station during the summers. Bernice attended school in Oakley and played the trombone in her high school band. She then attended Albion State Normal School, received her teacher degree, and taught for two years.

During World War II, Bernice met Woodrow K. Shaw at a dance. They were married on July 1, 1946 in the Logan LDS Temple and lived in Liberty until Woodrow''s death when Bernice moved to North Ogden. Together they had four daughters and one son, Linda (HJ) Frank, Lorraine (Galan) Rogers, Janet (David) Cummings, DeAnn (Dennis) Olsen, and Douglas Kay Shaw (deceased).

Bernice was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many years in service to our Father in Heaven and her fellowman. She held many positions in Primary and in Relief Society, including President of both organizations. She also served as a Sunday School teacher. Woodrow and Bernice spent 13 years working as temple ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple. Bernice belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers where she received her 50 year membership. She served as secretary of the Liberty Cemetery District for 25 years and 25 years as secretary of the Liberty Irrigation Company.

Woodrow and Bernice enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, 14 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Liberty Cemetery.
