Bernice Lois Sparks, 92, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019. She was born on January 9, 1927 in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Ino and Tina Venstra Kapp. She grew up in Ogden and graduated from high school.

She married James Sparks on February 9, 1946 in Ogden, Utah.

Bernice enjoyed crocheting, bowling, golfing, Bingo, fishing, hunting, and traveling with her husband.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Bernice is survived by her husband, James Sparks of North Ogden; son, Lance (Michele) Sparks of Perry, Utah; daughter, Cindy (Dennis) Godfrey of Pleasant View; daughter-in-law, Vicki Sparks of Green River, WY; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Florene Parke. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Sparks; grandson, Landon Sparks; and her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
