Bernice Davenport Williams, 94, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010.

She was born October 20, 1915 in Brigham City, Utah to John Edward and Della Rae Newcomb Davenport. She was raised in Perry and graduated from Box Elder High School.

Bernice married John D. Williams, Sr. in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was a member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings including the Ogden LDS Temple. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Bernice worked for J.C. Penney for several years and then as a teller at the Bank of Utah.

She enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with her grandchildren.

Bernice is survived by a son, Richard (Sue) Williams, Ogden; a daughter-in-law, Annette, Ogden; five grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, "JD" John D. Williams, Jr.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 24th at 3 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

Friends and family may call Wednesday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
