Bernyce Child Rogers Singleton passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 in South Ogden, where she resided at Mountian Ridge Assisted Living.
She was born August 10, 1921 in Hooper, Utah to Lester Arthur and Dora May McDonald Child.
On August 21, 1941, Bernyce married Lyle L Rogers in Evanston, Wyoming. Lyle passed away July 3, 1984. She married Lynn Singleton in March of 1991. Lynn passed away October 3, 1994.
She is a member of the LDS Church and was a Daughter of Utah Pioneers, Mary E. Dalton Camp.
She loved history, ceramics, reading and flowers. Bernyce is survived by four daughters, Jeane Taylor, Ogden; Katey McLean, Mitchellville, IA; Mary (John) Lyon, Ogden; Edee (Chris) Walker, Wellsville; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jack (Mollie) Child, Riverdale; and her sister, Dawna Brockel, Clinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, son, Richard, daughter, Susan, son-in-law, David J. Taylor, grandson, Paul Scott Taylor, Lynn Singleton, her parents and a sister, Kathryn Stewart.
Our family gives a special “thank you” to Brandi, Sayde, and Bailee for all of their special love and help given to our mother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 7th at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday and on Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Roy City Cemetery.
