Bert Rosen

BERT K. ROSEN

1938-2021

On Saturday, April 10, 2021, Bert K. Rosen passed away just before his 83rd birthday. Bert was born in Kalmar, Sweden May 28, 1938. He was one of 9 children, including a twin sister.

After meeting Mormon missionaries in Sweden, Bert moved to Utah to practice his new faith at the age of 19. Bert additionally spent several years in the U.S. military actively and then as a reservist.

Bert married Jeanette R. Scott in Salt Lake City in 1966 and they had 4 children: Pam Rosen, Tami Rosen-Martinez, Emrik Rosen, and Lorene Rosen. At the time of his passing, Bert was also a delighted Grandfather and Great Grandfather. His additional family members currently include Joe Bufalino, Tasia Webb, Shanti Rosen, Brennon Rosen, Kaden Rosen, Jana Rae Martinez, Juan Antonio Pineda Tejada, Dartanian Jay Donovan, Tavia Rose Pineda-Martinez, and Zaphira Rae Pineda-Martinez.

Because Bert enjoyed art so much, he trained and spent the majority of his career as a Commercial Artist for Associated Food Stores. Bert was very outgoing and enjoyed telling stories. In his spare time, he enjoyed oil painting, pottery, and coloring pictures with the kids. Bert remained loyal to his faith, his family, and his love of making new friends and creating beautiful pictures for the entirety of his life.

A Visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00- 1:30 pm on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park Chapel, 17111 S. 1700 W. (Camp Williams Road) Bluffdale, UT, 98065. A Graveside Service will follow with Military Honors.
