Bertha King Potokar

Our beautiful mother and grandmother, Bertha King Potokar, returned home to her Father in Heaven surrounded by her loving family.
Bertha was born in her family home in Hooper, Utah to Flora Wadsworth and Grover King. She was the fifth of six daughters. She grew up in Hooper where she graduated from Weber High School.
She married Elmer Potokar November 25, 1945.
Bertha was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for 15 years and also served in numerous other callings.
She worked at Hill Air Force Base, Fermin Santo Music Store and later opened her own music store “Bertha’s Music Box” in Roy. She found joy in collecting dolls, her pet dogs, her four sons and grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her entire family.
Bertha is survived by four sons, Alan (Jean), North Ogden; Randy (Bobbie), Roy; Rick (Tamra) Roy; Michael, Riverdale; her sister, Hazel (Kenneth) Searcy, Plain City; and 9 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elmer Potokar, her sisters Flora Jones, Nora Poulsen, Lucille Finch, and Vivian Field.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends prior to the services, 10 to 10:45 A.M. at the mortuary.
Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
