Bertha Lucille H. Young

October 5, 1929 ~ October 25, 2015

Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Lucille H. Young, 86, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015 in Providence, Utah.  She was born on October 5, 1929 in West Weber, Utah, the daughter of John C. and Bertha Johnson Hart.  She spent most of her life in the Ogden area.

Lucille married Bertus Fay Young on January 8, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah.   Bertus passed away on February 1, 2011 after 64 years together.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings.

Lucille enjoyed quilting, making porcelain dolls, and sewing.  Family was most important in her life.  She loved company and being able to visit with family.

Lucille is survived by her children, Raymond, Pat (Kevin) Marx, and Gary (Pam); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Bruce Hart and sister, DeAnn Olsen.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Dan Hart; daughter-in-law, Sharon Young: sisters, Verla Stewart and Florence Allstead; and brother, Kent Hart.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
